Types of Partner Visas

Prospective Marriage Visa Subclass 300 is for the fiancee, and through this visa, the fiancee will be allowed to come to Australia to marry the prospective spouse. After marrying, the fiancee can apply for the Subclass 820 VISA. This visa allows a person to stay in Australia for 9 months from the day it is imparted.

Criteria for applying for Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300 Visa)-

  • Applicant should be in a genuine relationship with the prospective spouse, an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
  • Applicant should have an intention to marrying the prospective spouse before the validity period ends.
  • The applicant person should be out of Australia at the time of the application process and decision.
  • The person applying should be older than 18 at the time of applying for the visa.
  • The applicant should meet all the health requirements and other requirements like proofs to claim the relationship.
  • You should not have a visa cancelled, or the applicant refused.

The SUBCLASS 820 partner visa allows the De Facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen to apply for the Australian permanent resident visa or eligible for New Zealand citizen to live in Australia. Procuring this visa is the first step towards having the permanent partner visa Subclass 801.

Criteria for applying for Subclass 820 Visa-

  • Applicant partner o spouse should be in a genuine relationship with the spouse or de facto partner who is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible for New Zealand citizenship.
  • Applicant must have valid and sufficient proofs to help their claim being correct.
  • A person is eligible if their application refused or visa cancelled.
  • Should meet marriage or de facto requirements for applying.
  • For De-facto applicant must meet the 12-month requirement.
  • Applicant must have a sponsor who is not outlawed to sponsor you.
  • Should be in Australia at the time of application process and decision.

This SUBCLASS 309 VISA allows the de facto or spouse of the Australian citizen or Australia permanent resident to live in Australia. Getting this visa will be the first step of the other spouse to apply for the permanent Australian resident visa or subclass 100.

Criteria for applying for Subclass 309 Visa-

  • Applicant must provide valid and sufficient proofs to help their claim being valid.
  • The applicant should be outside Australia at the time of decision.
  • Applicant must be older than 18 years at the time of applying for this visa.
  • The applicant should meet all the health requirements.
  • Applicant must have a sponsor who is not banned from sponsoring you.
