Australian permanent resident and citizen can bring their child to live with them.

The dayvisa granted, child will become a permanent resident of Australia. But if you have more than one child, you have to process seperate application for each of them. The child must be a biological child, adopted child, or stepchild.

Criteria for applying for Subclass 802/101 Visa-

  • The child must be below 18 years, or if the child is above 18 but under 25, they should be studying full time in Australia, and a child over 18 years with a disability is only eligible for applying. 
  • The child should be single and never had a partner. 
  • The child will be eligible for this visa only if the child is not working full time. 
  • Applicant child must meet the character requirement for granting this visa. 

Once the child has been granted this visa, they must apply to be added to their parent’s permanent Partner visa application 309/820. With the approval of this visa child can travel to Australia to stay temporarily and will be eligible to apply permanent visa application 801/100 along with their parent. When an application to add the child to their parent’s permanent Partner visa application has been submitted, the child can enrol in Australia’s public healthcare scheme, Medicare.

Criteria for applying for Subclass 445 Visa-

  • The child must be dependent on the parents holding a provisional partner visa. 
  • The sponsor of the child visa should be the same sponsor for the visa holding parent of provision partner visa. 
  • Applicant child must meet the character requirement.
